Electric Cities

ULI Toronto

ULI Toronto presents Electric Cities, a podcast about land development and planning across the Toronto region. Hosted by Jeremy Warson, the podcast features conversations with the industry's most prominent leaders. With Seasons 1-5 now complete and Season 6 underway, there are plenty of interesting topics to choose from, such as trends in the condo, retail and office markets; stories of Toronto's success as a rapidly emerging global city and discussions on housing affordability, municipal governance and transit oriented development, to name just a few.

Season 6 will focus on some of key themes identified in the Retrofitting Our Urban Region report released by the Toronto Region Board of Trade in partnership with ULI Toronto. The report reflects a collaboration of 175 city building professionals that were brought together to think through the social and economic challenges presented by COVID-19 and it includes nearly 80 recommendations for government and business leaders to consider. The Season 6 episodes will dig deeper into topics touched on in the report such as main street retail, arts and culture, and homelessness through conversations with leading urbanists and influential city builders.
